Senior Accountant - Leicester (Hybrid/Remote) - 3 month Contract - £22.00-£23.50 per hour (DOE) ARM are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their client based in Leicester on a 3 month contract basis. To prepare capital budgets and forecasts and identify areas of risk and opportunity and execute appropriate responses. **Responsibilities**: - Manage and develop a team of approximately 2 employees - Supervise activities carried out by a Trainee Accountant - Prepare capital budgets and forecasts. - Identify areas of risk and opportunity and execute appropriate responses. - Provide support and expertise to finance team colleagues and service-based staff - Contribute to the development and implementation of the financial strategy. - Maintain a thorough and up to date knowledge of legislation, regulations, and guidance **Requirements**: - Accounting qualification recognised by one of the following: CIPFA, ICA, ACCA, CIMA - Write clear, concise reports which analyse complex financial data - Verbally present new ideas and proposals. - Give clear presentations to a variety of audiences. - Negotiate successful outcomes. - Extensive experience of budgeting and forecasting. - Experience in a similar role in a large organisation, preferably local government or similar.
