Senior Accountant, based in Leicester, managing a client portfolio of OMBs, SMEs, and limited companies, preparing and reviewing year‑end accounts while overseeing juniors and ensuring exceptional client service. Client Details: Based in Leicester city centre with parking available for all staff, a chartered accountancy firm that is part of a wider UK network and continues to experience strong growth. The practice offers a collaborative, team‑focused environment with a flat structure, working closely with senior leadership. Service range includes business advisory, tax, audit and assurance, and business process support, combining local expertise with national resources. The role is set in a progressive, technology‑driven setting that encourages career development within a dynamic and forward‑thinking team. Responsibilities Manage your own portfolio of clients, including OMBs, SMEs, and limited companies, ensuring timely delivery of all accounts and tax requirements. Prepare and review year‑end statutory accounts, management accounts and supporting schedules in line with accounting standards (FRS 102, FRS 105). Oversee and review bookkeeping, VAT returns and other financial reporting prepared by junior team members. Mentor, support and supervise junior accountants, providing on‑the‑job training and technical guidance. Act as the main point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships. Qualifications ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least 3–5 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice. Strong background in accounts preparation and review for a mixed client base. Confident communicator with excellent organisational and time‑management skills. Proficient in cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, IRIS or similar platforms. Ambitious, proactive and committed to developing both personally and professionally. Job Offer: £35,000 – £45,000, dependent on background experience and level of the right professional, plus benefits, negotiable.
