Job DescriptionSales Development Representative - Junior / Early CareerBirmingham (hybrid, 1-2 days on site)£28,000 to £32,000 base + commission and bonusPrivate medical, life assurance, pension, 34 days annual leave, EV schemesOur client, a leading fintech and procurement intelligence organisation, is hiring a junior Sales Development Representative to open doors with new prospects and support a growing sales team.It is ideal if you have been in a target driven, customer facing sales role for around a year or more, such as tech retail or contact centre sales, and now want your first proper step into SaaS and B2B sales.What you will doRun targeted outbound activity across phone, email and LinkedIn to book quality demos for the sales teamQualify inbound and outbound leads, understanding who is a good fit and what problems they are trying to solveWarm up opportunities for the BDMs by building rapport with stakeholders in Bid, Sales, BD and Procurement teamsFollow simple, structured cadences and keep CRM notes, tasks and pipeline tidy and up to dateUse modern sales tools such as HubSpot and Sales Navigator and share feedback on what messaging worksWhat we are looking forAround 12 months or more in a target or KPI driven, customer facing role. For example:Technical retail sales such as Carphone Warehouse, mobile networks, broadband or electronicsContact centre sales or upsell rolesJunior SDR or BDR rolesComfortable working to targets and having numbers to hit, with some exposure to outbound calling or upsellingGenuine interest in technology and SaaS. You are curious about how software solves problems for businesses and want to build a career in this spaceClear, confident communicator on the phone and in writing, able to keep things simple for the customerHungry to learn. You take feedback well, want to improve each month and enjoy being part of a supportive, high performing teamAble to work hybrid from Birmingham, at least two days per week in the officeWhy this is a great next stepProgression.
