Job DescriptionBusiness Analyst - VP - Fixed IncomeMid Tier Bank - City£550 - £850 per day (via Umbrella)My client, a great mid-tier bank, is looking to employ a BA who has good knowledge of the front-to-back processing of Sales and Trading business and a good understanding of Bonds and Repo's.Job PurposeDuring the planning phase this role will be performing the analysis required to document the changes required to support the mandatory clearing of UST’s.This role will create and document detailed requirements and deliverables such as, preparing and updating a Target Operating Model (TOM), preparing and updating Business Requirement Documents (BRD), documentation of required Policies, Procedures and Manuals (PPM)Furthermore, working on business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions within the strategy-based project. Follow up and mitigation is also essential.Bridges the gap between IT and the business using data to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.This role must communicate within a multi-disciplinary team, gain consensus for the best solution and implement the required changes within the required timeframe, budget and quality parameters. The individual will ensure that the business case, plans and control processes have sufficient detail and have evaluated the potential impact of the changes made, including a traceability matrix (if relevant), and will involve the appropriate staff or teams during the QA, testing and delivery of changes, including helping to resolve any issues.ResponsibilitiesWork with SME/s and end users to understand and document the practical implications for all associated systems and processes.Identify and document the processes, system changes and timescales required to introduce changes and ensure the correct governance of the change processWork closely with the SME/s to appraise senior stakeholders (likely to include MD and above level stakeholders) of the potential impact of change on the service, function or system/s highlighting the options, impact and potential links between required changes on the existing infrastructure so that well informed decisions can be madeDetail the appropriate business requirements and regulatory technical specification to support any changes or new requirementsCompose and draft required written framework alongside the project evolutionInterface with colleagues from IT to provide Business Requirements and respond to any functional requirements questionsSupport and involve the appropriate staff and teams in the QA, testing and delivery of changes, including helping to resolve any issues.NeedsAn understanding of clearing Bonds and Repos.Profound knowledge of front to back processing of Sales and Trading business a plusTechnical expertise required to analyse impact of change on the bank’s processes and system infrastructure, however this is a business role not an IT based BA roleUnderstand and negotiate between the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
