There are no limits to where you can take your career.Job SummaryIts great to know youre making a difference to the future of aviation Whatever part you play youll be helping us deliver operational excellence to our customers.At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.The successful applicant will be responsible for industrialising procurement projects within the supply chain.This role is based at our Filton site, with the successful applicant working with a team of 3 engineers in a role that will require up to 25% travel to supplier businesses.How You'll ContributeIn this role, you will:Lead supplier industrialisation activitiesAssure and monitor Product Risk mitigation and Quality planning/control at supplier (APQP, PPAP)Review Supplier First Article- Communicate to SQE at Designing Organisation (a SQE in a designing organisation also Approve the FAI)Perform/Follow up supplier assessments, industrial reviews and evaluations when qualifiedSupport concurrent engineering between GKN and supplier (design for manufacturing)Support cost engineering/cost reductionSupport with supplier tendering activityWhat You'll BringTo help us make a difference, youll bring your passion and expertise/ talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:Essential:Sufficient relevant experience in a heavily regulated environmentExperience in New Product Introduction or supplier industrialisation activitiesWell organized and structured with strong skills to work both independently, and in a team Target-oriented and outgoing with good communication skills Experience and skilled with Microsoft office, and ERP systems (e.g SAP)Project management experienceDesirable:Engineering degree or recognised apprenticeship in a relevant disciplineProject management (Prince2 / PMP)Knowledge of APQP toolset and previous practical applicationKnowledge of aerospace products, processes and technologies What We'll OfferOnce youre on board youll get the following perks and benefits:Competitive salary dependant on experienceUp to 15% BonusIndustry Leading Pension Scheme = well match your contributions up to 8% on a 1 : 1.5 basis (Total contribution up to 20%)Life Assurance 8 x salary25 days holiday + bank holidaysFlexible working hours including the ability to finish at 12noon on a FridayIncome protectionShopping discountsCycle To Work SchemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeVirtual GP Clinic for you and immediate familyA collaborative, dynamic working environmentAs well as a competitive package well offer you a world of opportunity.
