We have a fantastic opportunity for a EDP Procurement Partner to join our GBS Commercial team at BMT, reporting to the Senior EDP Commercial Manager. This role will be based at Bath/Home (hybrid working), with travel to BMT offices as required. This a permanent, full-time position. Salary will be based on experience

**What is the role?**
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Partner to join our small but busy Engineering Delivery Partner (EDP) Portfolio team. Reporting to the Senior EDP Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for running competitive processes with our supply chain to source Engineering Services.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:
Leading the EDP Procurement function, managing all matters relating to the procurement of professional engineering consultancy services on the EDP contract including, but not limited to: engaging with suppliers, running open and fair competitions, providing prompt and timely feedback to suppliers, amending approved contract terms and conditions and ensuring adherence to Single Source Regulations.

Acting as the Procurement Lead inside the EDP Portfolio team and to provide commercial input to the procurement of services and contracts under the EDP contract. To keep suitable records of all commercial documents and supporting activities for auditable purposes, including using BMT’s internal databases as well as the online procurement platform (currently Curtis Fitch).

Leading interaction with our supply chain from an informed and confident position. To be able to negotiate contract terms where applicable, and to negotiate to achieve Value for Money. To manage any issues and disputes with suppliers in positive, fair and constructive way.

Interacting with the Aurora team, our EDP Partners and QinetiQ in the course of agreeing contracts do deliver EDP tasking.

Lead BMT’s procurement activity under the EDP contract and represent BMT at Aurora meetings and activities, alongside the Procurement Leads from the two other Partner companies.

**Experience Required**

The successful individual will be:

- Relevant and demonstrable experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain related role, ideally within a Defence or Aerospace contracting environment.
- Relevant and demonstrable experience of operating within and in compliance of Single Source Regulations.
- Chartered Institute Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Level 4 qualified or equivalent.
- Highly numerate with the ability to work to a high professional standard with MS Office tools and similar IT tools and systems.
- Experience managing multiple projects to Key Performance Indicator framework contracts.
- Effective communication, negotiation and relationship management skills, with the ability to use dif
