Job DescriptionCarmichaelUK are seeking a Site Engineer to join the Structures team on a major highways scheme in Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain long-term experience on a nationally significant project, working within a collaborative and safety-first environment.RoleAs a Site Engineer, you will support the delivery of structural works by ensuring quality compliance, accurate documentation, and effective supervision of on-site activities. You will work closely with the Section Engineer and the wider project team to ensure construction is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.ResponsibilitiesAssisting in the supervision of subcontractors on site.\tMonitoring and recording site activities in line with programme and specifications.\tSupporting the preparation of method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and inspection/test plans (ITPs).\tCarrying out quality checks and maintaining accurate site records.\tAssisting in resolving technical queries and liaising with the project team.\tEnsuring health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld at all times.Skills & ExperienceDegree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.\tPrevious experience in a Site Engineer role, ideally within highways or structures.\tStrong knowledge of quality processes and site documentation (RAMS, ITPs, QA).\tGood communication and teamwork skills.\tCSCS card essential; SSSTS desirable
