Site Engineer

CarmichaelUK are seeking a Site Engineer to join the Structures team on a major highways scheme in Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain long-term experience on a nationally significant project, working within a collaborative and safety-first environment.
Role
As a Site Engineer, you will support the delivery of structural works by ensuring quality compliance, accurate documentation, and effective supervision of on-site activities. You will work closely with the Section Engineer and the wider project team to ensure construction is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
Responsibilities
Assisting in the supervision of subcontractors on site.
Monitoring and recording site activities in line with programme and specifications.
Supporting the preparation of method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and inspection/test plans (ITPs).
Carrying out quality checks and maintaining accurate site records.
Assisting in resolving technical queries and liaising with the project team.
Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld at all times.
Skills & Experience
Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
Previous experience in a Site Engineer role, ideally within highways or structures.
Strong knowledge of quality processes and site documentation (RAMS, ITPs, QA).
Good communication and teamwork skills.
CSCS card essential; SSSTS desirable
