Job DescriptionYour new companyUK wide organisation with their Head Office in Co Durham. Following a period of sustained growth across the group, they are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen their established Head Office finance team.Your new roleWorking closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a key part in the successful month-end closure and reporting.The ideal person for this role will be someone who can both produce and review the monthly management accounts, and communicate these to the non-finance budget holders within the business, whilst at the same time retaining a hands-on approach and being comfortable creating & posting journals.Key duties will include:-Monthly management account production - multi-site P&Ls and Balance SheetOverhead analysisBudgetary control and analysisLiaison with and advising of non-finance budget holdersCash flow forecasting & analysisVAT returnsAssist with the year end audit preparation Ongoing improvement of processes and controls What you'll need to succeedYou will be a qualified accountant or nearing qualification with only a few exams remaining.You will ideally have experience of multi-site accounts preparation A sound knowledge of LEASE Accounting would be beneficialHands-on experience of producing Management AccountantsFinancial management and analysis experience Advanced Excel is essentialAble to manage your workload and work independentlyWhat you'll get in returnAnnual salary of up to £50,00025 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysHybrid working post-probationReward schemeComprehensive employee benefits platformFree parkingWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
