Job description Sales Account ManagerLocation: Bedfordshire (On-site)Direct Reports: 3Purpose of the RoleThis is an ideal position for someone commercially sharp, relationship-led and hungry to drive growth. You'll lead a small team, manage existing accounts, win new business and bring fresh ideas to push the commercial function forward.Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Management & GrowthManage and develop relationships with existing customers, ensuring a high level of service and retention.Identify opportunities to save customers time and money, adding real value and strengthening trust.Actively spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.Drive new business activity through outreach, meetings and consistent pipeline management.Take full ownership of sales forecasting, reporting and pipeline accuracy.Build a clear commercial plan to increase revenue across the customer base.Team LeadershipLead, support and motivate a team of three, ensuring clear expectations and strong performance.Oversee day-to-day activity, ensuring the team delivers at pace and with professionalism.Commercial Strategy & CampaignsBring fresh ideas for campaigns, marketing angles and business development initiatives.Analyse customer trends and commercial behaviours to maximise revenue opportunities.Represent the business with confidence during customer visits, meetings and presentations.Skills & ExperienceProven experience in account managementStrong sales acumen and business development experience.Ability to build rapport quickly with both new and existing customers.Strong people-management experience, ideally leading a small team.Confident, proactive and hungry to drive commercial growth.Creative approach to outreach, campaigns and customer engagement.Experience within Waste Management.
