They provide essential technical and administrative support for service activities, helping to deliver valuable system solutions with excellent operational rigour.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support: Assist the Lead Engineer and multidiscipline engineering team in power systems, power conversion, automation, control, and mechanical integration projects Support preparation of technical documentation, reports, and project deliverables Assist with testing procedures, commissioning activities, and system upgrades under supervision Help co-ordinate technical activities between Commissioning, Service, and third-party teamsProject Administration: Support monitoring and tracking of service engineering project budgets and timelines Assist with project documentation management and filing systems Help maintain design reviews, quality control records, and change management documentation Support risk management processes and compliance with company guidelinesTeam Co-ordination: Facilitate communication between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders Assist in scheduling meetings, site visits, and technical reviews Support improvement initiatives and cost optimisation plans Help co-ordinate with teams from other business units as requiredCustomer and Technical Interface: Assist with customer communications and technical enquiries under guidance Support preparation of technical presentations and customer documentation Help translate customer requirements into actionable technical tasks Assist with component specification activities for drives, motors, transformers, and switchboardsSpecialisation Areas Available Marine Offshore systems Naval applications Power Systems Switchboard/Protection systems Level 2/Substation AutomationQualifications And ExperienceEssential Requirements: Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related technical discipline 0-3 years of experience in engineering or technical support roles Basic understanding of power engineering, electrical systems, or automation Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and technical documentation toolsPreferred Qualifications: Exposure to power generation, conversion, transmission, or distribution systems Familiarity with LV and MV electrical systems, drives, and motors Experience with project co-ordination or technical administration Knowledge of quality control and documentation management systems Customer service orientation and professional communication skills Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary team environmentsKey Competencies: Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills Ability to multitask and work within strict time scales Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise Collaborative approach to supporting senior engineers Adaptability to work on diverse technical projectsBenefits Engaging and challenging service projects with learning opportunities [1] Mentorship and professional development under experienced engineers Work environment that recognises diverse career expectations and work-life balance [1] Attractive compensation package (Base + Variable) [1] Flexible benefits including Employer pension contribution, Income protection, Private Health Insurance, and Life Assurance [1] 26 days holiday plus bank holidays [1]Career DevelopmentThis Technical Assistant role provides an excellent foundation for career growth within GE Vernova's Service Engineering organisation, with opportunities to advance to senior engineering positions as experience and expertise develop.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No
