Job DescriptionElectrical Operations Manager - Peterborough Salary: £50,000 per annumLocation: Peterborough (work within 30 minutes of home address - additional travel paid)A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to join a leading compliance and safety service provider, supporting electrical contracts across housing association and local authority properties in the Peterborough region.This role is ideal for a strong leader with a solid electrical background, proven experience managing engineering teams, and the ability to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.You will oversee a team of electrical engineers, manage day-to-day operations, and act as a technical expert for both colleagues and customers. This is a varied and rewarding role within a growing organisation known for its commitment to safety, compliance, and work-life balance.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPromote a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring full adherence to company policiesEncourage near-miss reporting and support all incident/accident investigations in collaboration with the H&S ManagerManage and promote safe driving practices, reviewing daily speeding reports and vehicle usageAttend client meetings as requiredMobilise new contracts and support the growth of existing onesManage electrical projects, keeping stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and successesOversee engineer performance including productivity, first-time fix rates, and quality of reportingEnsure correct use of Simpro and that all reports/paperwork are submitted within SLAApprove weekly timesheets for PAYE, subcontractors, and agency engineers, verifying attendance via tracking systemsManage holidays, sickness, and absence in line with company policyProvide first-line IT, software, and technical support for engineersConduct toolbox talks, vehicle checks, H&S audits, and technical audits, arranging training where requiredOversee stock control, materials management, and consignment stock checksResolve client concerns, implement improvements, and reduce repeat issuesParticipate in the Out-of-Hours Escalation Rota and coordinate team coverLead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of engineering staffProduce weekly forecasts to ensure targets and GP requirements are metCarry out investigations, disciplinary procedures, and performance management where requiredAct as a brand ambassador, ensuring high standards of service deliveryUndertake any additional duties as requested by senior managementQualifications & ExperienceRecognised Health & Safety qualification such as SMSTSProven track record managing engineers and coordinating field-based teamsCity & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical InstallationsUp to date with BS7671 (18th Edition desirable)Strong knowledge of the construction industry and safe working practicesFull UK driving licenceGood IT literacy and confidence with software systemsSalary & PackageSalary: £50,000 per annumCompany vehicle and fuel card (for business use)Company phone and tabletFull test equipment and power tools provided25 days holiday + UK bank holidays (33 total)Ongoing career development and training opportunitiesEmployee benefits package including:Employee assistance programmeWellbeing appMental health supportEmployee discount schemeCompany pensionDeath-in-service insuranceBirthday voucherNext StepsIf you are an experienced Electrical Operations Manager looking to take the next step in your career, apply todayElectrical Operations ManagerElectrical Operations ManagerCalibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
