Job DescriptionRole: Commissioning Technician (Perm Role or Contract Available)Location: NewcastleHours: Monday-Friday (37.5 Hours per week)Hourly rate: Circa 50K + OvertimeGPS are looking for experienced Commissioning Technician to Provide technical support to projects throughout the business and liaising between Customers, Engineering and Project Managers to provide clients with quality product, commissioned to the requirements of the project and specification.Key responsibilities:Ensuring vehicles and associated equipment have been correctly manufacturedDiagnosing and fixing faultsFunctional testing of equipmentEnsuring test paperwork is correctly completedDemonstrating systems to customersAnswering technical queriesContinuous improvementQA checksWork off site when required.Travel worldwide where required to work both on land and offshoreKey Skills/Experience Required:· Previous experience working in a similar position· Relevant HNC qualification· Time served technician with fault finding experience· Control & Instrumentation experience· Basic mechanical & hydraulic knowledge· Basic PLC knowledge & experience· Offshore Survival certificates (desirable)
