Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer

Join to apply for the Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer role at Ethos Foundation Venatu, a leading client of ours in the Fire Protection industry, is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to join them ASAP. This full‑time role offers a competitive salary of circa £42k, bonus, company car, laptop and phone. Responsibilities Program, test and commission fire alarm systems to ensure they meet design specifications and regulatory standards. Conduct functional tests on all devices. Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve faults or configuration issues during commissioning. Review engineering drawings and system specifications to verify correct installation and system performance. Complete all required commissioning documentation, test sheets and compliance certificates. Liaise with clients, project managers, installers and other trades to coordinate commissioning activities. Provide guidance or training to end‑users on system operation and basic maintenance. Ensure all work complies with relevant standards (e.g. BS 5839 or equivalent local codes) and health & safety requirements. Support handover processes to ensure smooth transition from installation to operational use. Candidate Profile Experience as a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer. Expertise with GENT systems. Full UK driving licence. Excellent customer service skills. Well organized and literate to produce accurate job reports and identify defects against British standards. Benefits Company vehicle.
