Base location: Home Based (Surrey, Kent, Essex & London Areas)Salary: Competitive depending on skills & experience + performance related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeingWorking Pattern: Permanent Full timeNeos Networks is looking for an experienced and highly motivated field technician/engineer to assist with the expansion or our estate across multiple platform types to support our increasing customer portfolio.The role includes the undertaking of installation, maintenance and fault repair of Neos telecoms network and associated equipment in accordance with work instructions to ensure service standards are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.What is the role?1. Installation and MaintenanceUndertake installation and maintenance work as part of a team or under supervision in accordance with work instructions and procedures in a safe and efficient manner to meet service standards. Clearly communicate results back to the originator as required and ensure remedial work is properly recorded.2. Network FaultsCarry out fault diagnosis and repairs as instructed or under supervision, working with Neos Networks, Power Systems, Generation and Specialist Contractors as required, to assist with the restoration of network operations and achieve service standards.3. Resource RequirementsLiaise with the Resource Coordinator, Team Manager and Project Managers, confirming the scope of the work and materials required to ensure projects are delivered on time.4. Technical SupportProvide field support for engineers to ensure that service requests and fault repairs are completed quickly, efficiently and to customers' satisfaction.5. Team WorkingContribute to developing team working within Neos Networks and with other departments to support the provision of an effective and safe service.What do I need?Functional / Technical SkillsMinimum educational qualification to ONC level in relevant discipline or relevant demonstrable experience.Routine fault finding, repair and maintenance on the core technologies below.Ethernet, Transmission, Digital Microwave, PMR, Fibre, Cabling and Termination (Cisco, Ciena, Infinera, Nokia/Alcatel etc)PDH/SDH and legacy technologiesDesirable SkillsKnowledge of DC power and UPS systemsClimbing and RiggingThe successful candidate will be expected to carry out stand by duties as part of an on-call rota after appropriate training has been given.Company transport will be provided and a full UK driving licence is essentialNext StepsAll applications should be submitted online, and I'll be back in touch after the vacancy closing date to let you know the outcome.
