We are looking for several Offshore Crane Technicians on a permanent basis, working in the offshore, ports and shipping, and oil and gas industries. Based from the UK, from home on a flying-squad basis. The company supports the oil and gas industry and after winning new contracts globally, they are looking to expand massively over the next 12 months.About the RoleAs part of the offshore crane technician position, you will work receive full training, work in a variety of environments and on a huge range of equipment all over the world.ResponsibilitiesCarry out the commissioning, maintenance, inspection and servicing of cranes and lifting equipment, onshore and offshore.Carry out fault finding and repairs and inspection on a range of electrical, mechanical or hydraulic equipment and systems.Carry out the commissioning, maintenance, inspection and servicing of a range of client mechanical equipment, onshore and offshore.Assist with spares identification and procurement.Produce clear factual documented reports.Rigging and lift planning.Comply with site HSEQ requirements.Work safely with all site staff to ensure a safe working environment.QualificationsIdeally, you will be apprentice served in either electrical engineering/hydraulic engineering/mechanical engineering.Required SkillsWorking within the crane industry.Commissioning and fault finding on electro-mechanical and/or hydro-mechanical systems.Work on your own or within a team.Work at heights.An in-depth knowledge of preventative maintenance on cranes.BOSIET.IT literate and be able to write reports.Can read schematics and engineering drawings then translate this into practice.Leadership/supervisory experience.Experience working with marine engineering applications.Preferred SkillsOther positions which may be relevant to this position also include Field service Engineer, Crane Engineer, Flying squad technician, Hydraulic Technician, Hydraulic Engineer, Mechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Technician, Electrical Engineer, Multiskilled Technician or Multiskilled service engineer.Pay range and compensation packageA full competitive wage while on retainer.Daily per diem while deployed on a job (200 days on average).Pension.50% of per diem for travel days.Private healthcare benefits.Training, medical and ticket costs covered by the company.Equal Opportunity StatementNO SPONSORSHIP- ONLY CANDIDATES WITH RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION.
