Job DescriptionFinancial Controller - M&A and Projects - Nottingham Role Purpose: Location- Ruddington, Nottinghamshire Level - Manager Department - Finance Working Pattern - Hybrid (three days a week in the head office) Benefits - Benefits at Ideagen Ideagen is growing fast. We need someone to take ownership of our financial operations for the next 12 months. You’ll lead the monthly consolidation and reporting cycle across a complex multinational structure, and you’ll make sure our numbers are accurate, timely, and insightful for senior leadership. You’ll also be the go-to person for M&A integration. That means managing acquisition accounting, preparing opening balance sheets, and ensuring new businesses slot seamlessly into our reporting framework. This isn’t just about keeping the lights on. You’ll play a key role in shaping controls, supporting statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions, and leading finance transformation projects as they come up. Responsibilities:Own the monthly group consolidation and reporting cycle. Lead financial integration for acquired businesses. Apply technical accounting expertise to complex transactions. Support statutory reporting and liaise with external auditors. Strengthen governance and controls across the group. Build strong relationships with regional finance teams and senior stakeholders. Drive finance transformation projects and system implementations. Skills and Experience:ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) qualification with solid post-qualified experience. Proven track record in financial controller roles within complex, multinational businesses. Hands-on experience with M&A integration accounting and IFRS 3. Strong technical judgment and problem-solving skills. Ability to work strategically while staying close to the detail. Excellent communication skills – you can turn complex data into clear insights. Comfortable working in Nottingham 3 days a week.
