** Active Travel England** roles: Active Travel England - Department for Transport Careers** Job description**:
- The Training and Education Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the delivery of ATE’s training and education strategy. The role holder will work across multiple projects from a flagship conference to accredited online courses and in-person training and workshops, working to an agreed set of priorities.
- Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
- Implementing and maintaining systems for effective planning and scheduling.
- Establishing and maintaining project controls, keeping the project manager informed of the project status. Preparing project performance reports, presenting statistics, and researching new information.
- Ensuring that organisational tasks are completed efficiently. Managing and monitoring project compliance with departmental policies procedures.
- Managing professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and serving as the lead contact for some external parties.
- Assist in the content production and promotion of training and education outputs.
- Meet regularly with and support ATE colleagues with any identified training and education needs, including delivery plans.** Person specification**:
- To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
- Experience of working in a PMO-type role and working across various projects.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, and skills and experience in one or more project management specialisms including: delivery, planning, assurance, risk management, governance or stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
** Working hours, office attendance and travel requirements**
- Full time roles consist of 37 hours per week.
- Occasional travel to other offices and events will be required, which may involve overnight stays.
