**Foodbank Administrator/Coordinator**

**Introduction**
- The Everlasting Foodbank aims to run a food bank and associated services for the prevention and relief of poverty for the benefit of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship and other disadvantage in the East End of Glasgow and the local surrounding areas._

**Location**: 12 Whitehill Street Dennistoun Glasgow G31 2LJ

**Accountable to**: The Everlasting Foodbank Management Committee

**Rate**: £12.00p/h for up to 16hours a week worked on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
- **Job Description**_

The central role of the Foodbank Administrator/Coordinator is to deliver the food bank and drop - in service, with the support of Everlasting Food Bank Management Committee

The key tasks of the Foodbank Administrator/Coordinator are to:

- Liaise with other agencies to provide services to those accessing the food
- Manage drop-in service
- Organise workshops for the local community,
- Monitor the project,
- Represent the project in local and city - wide forums
- Providing other services incl. information, advice, signposting of foodbank users
- Recruit, train and involve the local community as volunteers
- Stock keeping and management
- Carry out any other tasks as may be required to support The Everlasting Food Bank
- Advertise and create awareness of foodbank services on social media, networking with similar organisations etc
- Manage donations pickup
- Other Admin tasks related to foodbank services

**Skills and experience required**:
**Essential**

Experience of working with community groups and volunteers

Excellent communication skills, organisational and interpersonal skills

Ability to work unsupervised, managing time efficiently to complete all required duties within the contracted hours

Ability to record and analyse written and numerical data

Ability to work in a team

Experience of using social media for advertisements/awareness of services etc

Report writing experience

Event management/experience of delivering training and facilitating events

**Desirable**

Community Learning and Development qualifications and experience

Training and experience in food handling

Experience in managing volunteers

Experience of working with partners in voluntary and public sectors to deliver projects

Full UK driver’s licence
