**Job Title: Personal Assistant/Carer (Self Employed)**
**Hours: Saturday and Sundays 10.30pm (1 hour each)**
**Additional hours may be available**
**Rate of Pay: £16 per hour**
- Assistance with transfers using a hoist system
- Support with personal care, toileting, undressing and putting to bed
- Giving medication
Female required *exempt under the Equality Act 2010
The role is based in the client’s home in the **CHRISTLETON** area of **CHESTER** where she lives with her husband. The person has high care needs. The Personal Assistant/Carer will be required to assist with personal care including undressing, toileting, medication and assisting to put the client to bed.
Good general health, physical fitness and reliability are important, as is the ability to make the client feel respected and comfortable in her own home.
MUST ALREADY BE SET UP AS SELF EMPLOYED AND HAVE A UTR NUMBER AND REFERENCES
**Person Specification**
- Good knowledge of manual handling. Experience in transferring, using hoist systems
- Able to follow instruction under employer’s direction.
- Honest and trustworthy
- Reliable, efficient and flexible
- Good sense of humour
- Car driver with own vehicle is essential (unless living within walking distance)
- Non smoker
**It is a requirement, due to the nature of this role, that any applicant must have been vaccinated against COVID 19**
