**Self Employed Personal Assistant/Carer**

**How much? **£17.80 per hour

**Hours?** Around 10am - 12.45pm Saturdays and Sundays (5.5 per week)

Care at home required for our client, who is an elderly gentleman living with this wife in Tarvin, Chester. He has a diagnosis of dementia alongside other health conditions. He has a keen interest in music and musicals and would like the PA to support with the practical tasks listed below, as well as mental stimulation. This will enable his wife to have a break from her caring duties.

The PA must have care experience and a patient, calm and encouraging approach. It is crucial to have the right values in a job where you can be proud.

Car driver essential due to rural location.

**Overview of Tasks**:Client can transfer himself. Duties will include:

- To oversee that client is safe and well
- Help with getting dressed
- Continence care
- To support with showering and a shave
- Preparing meals and drinks
- To accompany accessing the community/going for a walk
- To undertake any reasonable task requested by the client

**Person Specification**
- Ability to use own initiative
- Honest, reliable, efficient, confident and a good timekeeper
- Good sense of humour
- Non smoker
- Appointment of applicant is conditional upon receipt of satisfactory references
