Marina Operative

We currently have a vacancy for a **Marina Operative **to join our vibrant and winning Team at **MDL Penton Hook Marina**.

A knowledge and/or interest in boats is not essential but would undoubtably make the day a bit more interesting. Although some office work is involved, the main element of the job is out and about around the marina - keeping it safe & secure, maintaing the facilities and doing what we can to increase our customers enjoyment of their boats. Our aim is to deliver the highest level of service to our customers, which demands the best from our team every day.

The role works on a 4 days on, 4 days off basis with 12 hours shifts - 07:00 am to 19:00 pm. This is a 365 day a year business and as such the role may require working at weekends and bank holidays.

Full training will be given, however you need to be practical and able to complete a range of maintenance tasks and small jobs. Berth holder interaction and the provision of excellent customer service is an essential element of the role.

The role will include:
Ø Overseeing the berthing allocations of vessels - including meet and greet

Ø Maximising berth sales and visitor income

Ø Assisting in actively marketing and promoting the marina and associated services

Ø Maintaining the security of the site

Ø To ensure all legal, HSE and company policies including financial are being adhered to

Ø Serving fuel

The key requirements for this role are:
Ø An ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service

Ø Good practical boating skills

Ø Self motivated and able to work without supervision

Ø Innovative in your approach to solving problems

Ø Current computer literacy

Ø A practical, resourceful and common sense approach

Ø Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive ‘can do’ attitude
