Location: Titchmarsh Marina, Walton-on-the-Naze, Essex

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Average 40 hours per week (rota includes alternate weekends)

About Us

Titchmarsh Marina is a friendly, family-run marina set in the beautiful Walton Backwaters. We provide berthing for over 450 boats and welcome hundreds of visiting vessels each year. We take pride in offering a personal, professional service in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

About the Role

We are looking for the right person to join our small, dedicated team. This is a customer-facing role and a key point of contact for berth holders, visitors, and contractors. You'll be involved in all aspects of marina operations — from assisting boat owners and allocating berths to maintaining records and ensuring the smooth daily running of the marina.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide excellent customer service to berth holders and visitors

· Walk the pontoons daily, checking vessels and facilities, reporting any issues

· Manage berthing allocations for permanent and visiting boats

· Handle telephone, email, and VHF enquiries promptly and professionally

· Maintain accurate records, berthing sheets, and reports

· Process transactions using EPOS and Sage Accounts

· Take service work bookings and assist with administrative tasks

· Monitor and order fuel and Calor Gas stock as required

· Keep berthing boards and office displays up to date

· Support the team with practical marina duties as needed

· Participate in the weekend rota system (alternate weekends)

About You

· Confident and friendly with exceptional customer service skills

· A reliable team player with a flexible and positive "can-do" attitude

· Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

· Organised, methodical, and able to work under pressure and without supervision

· Health & Safety conscious with good attention to detail

· Competent in general IT and administrative tasks

· Professional and courteous on the telephone and in person

· Boating experience and knowledge of the Walton backwaters is highly desirable

· Holding a VHF Radio Certificate, RYA Powerboat Level II, and First Aid qualification would be an advantage (not essential as training will be provided)
