**About the Role**

**Project**:Role within the Berwick Bank Wind Farm Consents Team leading delivery of the onshore and offshore consents and licences for the Berwick Bank Wind Farm/Cambois Connection.

**Base Location**: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:

- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.

**Salary**: £51,600 - £77,400 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

**Working Pattern**: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
- Lead and manage condition discharge (onshore and offshore), consent compliance and project management for the largest offshore wind developments in Scotland.
- Manage and engage with key stakeholders through all stages of the project.
- Work as part of the wider SSE Renewables offshore development team, with the potential to work across one of the largest development portfolios of offshore wind projects in the UK and Ireland with sites at a variety of different stages of development.
- Opportunity to engage in strategic discussions to facilitate deliverables on Berwick Bank Wind Farm, but also across SSE Renewables' development portfolio.

**What do I need?**

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Delivery focused with experience in consenting UK offshore renewables, either on onshore or offshore aspects, or both.
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of the marine licencing and terrestrial planning system in the UK and coordination of consultants delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Habitat Regulations Appraisals (HRAs) in support of the consent submission.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant qualification. A post graduate qualification would be beneficial, but it is not essential. Professional membership of a relevant technical or professional body would also be beneficial.
- Work independently, and as part of the Berwick Bank and wider SSE Renewables team, supporting junior team members, deputising for senior colleagues and engaging in strategic discussions on complex technical and environmental issues.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders including regulators, statutory and non-statutory advisors, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Commercial approach, challenging colleagues, stakeholders and contractors to manage risk, achieve viable solutions to consenting issues and support overall project objectives.
- Good working knowledge and understanding of project governance around approvals and programme and financial management procedures will be required, as will an innovative approach when addressing consenting issues and their resolution.
