**Job summary**:
We are looking for an individual to act as an EO ‘Delivery Support Officer’, providing critical support to both the Cities and Local Growth Wales and Scotland teams and other key DLUHC staff based in the **UK Government Regional Hub in Cardiff.** The post is aimed at providing a consistent resource for both the Wales and Scotland teams in aiding the coordination of delivery activities associated with the £4.8bn Levelling Up Fund, the £150m Community Ownership Fund, and the £2.6bn UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). Also working closely with the Office of the Secretary of State for Wales Office (OSSW) and Scotland Office (SO); the Welsh and Scottish Governments and alongside other Area Teams across the UK to help drive economic growth and deliver the UK Government’s ambition to level-up.

**Job description**:
The Cities and Local Growth Wales and Scotland teams cover a large number of regions across each nation. We relationship manage and work in partnership with local authorities, business intermediaries and many other local stakeholders. Our mission is to empower places - from rural and urban to major cities, from prosperous places to those facing challenges in the modern economy, to bolster their potential through boosting economic growth. We lead on a range of initiatives including support for towns and high streets, local growth and levelling up strategies.

**Person specification**:

- The successful applicant will be responsible for co-or ordinating team-wide activity on all funding programmes operating in Wales and Scotland to ensure that all regions maintain accurate information and consistent records and co-ordinating team responses to all commissions relating to funding delivery.
- Leading coordination of visits to Wales and Scotland by both UK Government Ministers and senior officials, working with regional leads, Office of the Secretary of State for Wales, Scotland Office and DLUHC/BEIS communication leads to identify suitable options, putting forward recommendations and co-ordinating the provision of briefings on behalf of both Wales and Scotland teams.
- Overseeing co-ordination and providing governance of Wales and Scotland specific data and intelligence, including tracking progress of LA bids (e.g. LUF) and progression of delivery milestones (e.g. spade in ground/official openings), outputs (jobs created milestone hit) and identification of opportunities for case studies and Ministerial/senior official visits to projects in Wales and Scotland.
- Co-ordinating on behalf of the Wales and Scotland teams and informing cross-Government attendance at major events in both Wales and Scotland (e.g. Royal Welsh, Eisteddfod, Royal Highland Show etc). Co-ordinating and feeding into key planning meetings alongside Union, OSSW, SO and WG and ensuring compliance with Welsh language requirements.
- Cross-DLUHC site lead within Ty William Morgan House in Cardiff, responsibility for overseeing Hub induction programme & familiarisation visits; disseminating information to DLUHC colleagues and representing DLUHC views to estates colleagues, staff safety and regular updating of Business Continuity Plans on behalf of both the Wales and Scotland teams.
- Liaising with internal and external colleagues (including Welsh Government, Office of the Secretary of State for Wales, Welsh Local Government Associations to organise key meetings, room bookings, facilitate arrival by visits and provide IT support at the Cardiff Hub.
- Offering wider support to both the Wales and Scotland teams on information management, HR, travel and IT issues as well as managing Wales and Scotland team shared mailbox and cascading communication updates to LAs and other key partners within both nations as well as booking meetings on behalf of Deputy Directors and Head of Teams as and when requested.
- Developing and maintaining core team documents including Business Continuity Plan, team and stakeholder contact directories, leave planners; meeting rotas and other core team products and documents (e.g. commissioning updating of Reginal Fact Sheets, LUF Milestone Tracker etc).
- Supporting L&D and wellbeing within the teams, identifying skill needs and scheduling team ‘teach-ins’, taking lead for planning of team planning/away days, and inputting to DLUHC-wide wellbeing groups.
