A Project Support Officer plays a key role in driving successful project delivery by coordinating a wide range of activities. This includes ensuring project management processes run smoothly and supporting business operations on behalf of the project team.
**In this role, you will**:
Independently oversee designated aspects of projects as assigned
Create project documentation and monitor plans and benefits to ensure alignment with objectives
This post is a Secondment until 31 March 2028 due to funding
The Project Support Officer ensures the smooth delivery of project activities through effective coordination, planning, and administration. Responsibilities span across:
**Management & Leadership**: Deliver training, assign tasks, and uphold quality standards while aligning outputs with project scope and authorised changes
**Project Planning & Delivery**: Execute delegated project components, schedule tasks using project control techniques, and organise meetings/events
**Monitoring & Improvement**: Track performance, manage risks, drive service improvements, and analyse project outcomes for informed decision-making
**Stakeholder Communication**: Communicate complex issues clearly, maintain strong relationships, and lead programme-wide updates and engagement
**Digital & Information Management**: Utilise IT tools to support reporting, secure data, manage project systems, and ensure robust documentation practices
**Finance & Resources**: Manage supplies, monitor project expenditure, support budgeting, and maintain accurate asset records
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) is an expert national body and part of NHS Wales. A Project Support Officer is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of project objectives through a diverse range of activities. This includes ensuring the smooth operation of project management processes and coordinating business management tasks and activities on behalf of the Project team.
**As Project Support Officer, you will**:
Autonomously manage elements of specific projects as delegated.
Ensure that standard project management methodologies are applied to successfully deliver projects.
Prepare documentation and track project plans and benefits.
