Due to the success of our business, we are looking for a **Human Resources Director. **In this role, you will lead the HR team and deliver a proactive and flexible HR service across the organisation by providing relevant and appropriate HR support whilst driving best practice and ensuring compliance and consistency with all company procedures, documented policies, and employment legislation.

You will help us align our people strategies with our business goals and you will deliver our HR strategy and take the lead on everything “people”. You will be a true business partner, acting as a trusted advisor to the leadership team and delivering what the business needs. This role is a real mix between strategic and operational work.

Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will take the lead in facilitating a fully integrated and consistent employee experience throughout the organisation, with specific bias to champion a performance culture and continuously review productivity and employee development making recommendations for improvements_._

As the **Human Resources Director **your key responsibilities will be to:

- Understand and anticipate the need for change, diagnose the underlying issues and build the case for change with stakeholders.
- Develop and implement HR Strategy setting priorities over short, medium, and long term.
- Monitor and evaluate all aspects of HR via regular feedback at company, team, departmental and individual level. Make recommendations for improvement and action as appropriate in collaboration with the SLT.
- Maintain and update and effectively communicate all HR policies processes and initiatives to ensure they are up to date with current employment legislation.
- Ensure business, management, and employee compliance with company HR policies.
- Take the lead on Learning and Development and deliver learning outcomes for the business.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the management teams to build and manage training plans, setting a positive culture and framework to support staff development in line with the Company’s talent and succession plans.
- Lead all Employee Relations activity for the Company and equip managers to be able to deal with these issues.
- Take a lead role in the management of formal disciplinary and grievance matters, including the direct control of serious or complex employee relations matters.
- Manage the recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a robust process is followed and all appointments meet the needs of the organisation.
- Implement a recruitment strategy and plan including management of the agency preferred supplier list and agency liaison.
- Benchmark and regularly review terms and conditions, remuneration and benefits to ensure the current offering remains fit for purpose to attract and retain high quality employees in the prevailing market.
- Create talent acquisition, development, and retention initiatives across the business.
- Manage, lead, and develop the HR team to ensure professionalism, efficiency, productivity and good managerial skills are maintained at all times.
- Oversee all HR administration and compliance activities, ensuring the accurate recording and updating of HR records.

**Knowledge and experience**:

- MCIPD qualification/experience as working in a Senior HR or HR Management role and managing a team.
- Results -focused - understands what is important to employees, clients, and management - committed to achieving goals.
- Tenacious approach to delivery, quality of output and organisation with the ability to work both strategically and operationally across the organisation.
- Effective communication skills - handles complex and difficult situations with thought, impartiality, and confidence.
- Ability to deliver appropriate information to the right people.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills in delivering company-wide HR projects and initiatives as required.
- Experience of working in a small HR team, extensive experience in operating in a business partner model, working with senior leaders and managers to create positive business outcomes.
- Up-to-date employment law knowledge
- Understanding of best practices and HR functions
