A great opportunity has become available for a reliable and passionate **Apprentice HR Administrator**to join a regional company recognised for developing and training its staff to succeed in their roles based in **Portsmouth.** You will join them on a **full-time, permanent basis (40 hours per week),** in return, you will receive a **competitive salary.**

Our client is an expanding construction and maintenance company focused on delivering exceptional service to its clients and customers. They employ over 330 staff based across the south of England.

**About the role**:
As an **Apprentice HR Administrator,** you will be providing a professional and efficient administration service to the HR team. Supporting the HR department to ensure that the delivery of the HR function meets the needs of the Business Units.As an HR Apprentice, you will experience the full employee life cycle, giving you an excellent start to your HR Career. As part of your role, you will be enrolled on a CIPD Level 3, apprenticeship, obtaining an associate CIPD Level 3 qualification on completion.

**Key responsibilities as theApprentice HR Administrator will include**:

- Providing administrative support to the HR team including recruitment of front-line and office staff
- Assisting the HR Recruitment Administrator, preparing new starter employment packs, inputting data on the HR database, right to work checks and archiving leavers
- Generating contracts of employment for new employees and producing any subsequent amendment to contracts where terms and conditions change.
- Uploading and maintaining employee records on our People Management system
- Responsibility for ensuring all necessary staff have DBS checks complete
- Providing HR support as requested by the HR Business Partner and HR Talent Business Partner.
- Auditing employee files ensuring all documents are up to date
- Auditing the SMS processes ensuring operational teams are following HR processes
- Assisting the HR team with system updates/amendments

**What our client are looking for in their Apprentice HR Administrator**:

- Good working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint with accurate keyboard skills
- Confidence and approachability
- A passion for HR
- Can do attitude
- Resilience
- Being a good communicator both verbally and in writing is mandatory for this role as is the ability to recognise and understand the need for confidentiality
- You must have achieved at least Level 2 in Maths and English
- Administration experience would be advantageous
