Joining us as Human Resources Advisor, you will support the delivery of the HR service to staff and managers. This will involve working in a HR business unit, with a HR Manager and other HR Advisors/HR Assistants to provide a comprehensive range of services to identified client groups across the Group.

This will include services such as recruitment onboarding, absence management, induction, performance management and organisational change. You will also perform administrative duties in support of the HR & payroll function and the processes associated with the delivery of the service across the directorate.

You’ll have excellent communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills and be able to work on own initiative. With a positive ‘can do’ attitude, you’ll be comfortable working individually and as part of a team and be willing to accept ownership and responsibility. We also need you to be competent in the use of IT, to include Word, Excel, databases, HR systems and Outlook and be able to run reports and assist with HR casework / absence management.

A CIPD Level 3 certificate in Human Resources Practice is desirable, and experience of providing HR services in the education or public services sector.

This role is predominantly based at Kingston College and Merton College but will require occasional travel to the other South Thames Colleges Group sites.
