Our client, a successful and internationally-known US Law Firm is seeking a 2nd Line Engineer to join their IT department on a full-time, permanent basis.

Due to progression within the team, our client is looking for a strong 1st / 2nd Line Engineer to join the team, providing a high level of IT support to the European offices.

This is the ideal role for someone looking to secure a new role within an IT capacity in a Law Firm, or someone who is currently a strong 1st Line in a large team, looking to develop their career within a smaller team and in a 2nd Line position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve both 1st and 2nd line technical faults, both software and hardware
- Provide a high level of both day to day and project work for the business
- Set up and complete routine user tasks such as setting up, maintaining and deploying desktops, and mobile devices
- Participate in both software and hardware rollouts across the business including planning, testing and scheduling of projects and assignments
- Provide support for all AV devices within the office
- Write instructional documentation for staff and other users for technology within the business
- Communicate effectively with the London office and other locations, being the first point of contact for all queries and questions
- Introduce and train new users when the IT Trainer is unavailable

Key Experience:

- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a 1st / 2nd Line support role, preferably within a Law Firm
- Previous experience and strong working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office 2010, Document Management Systems, Windows Server
- Strong working knowledge of laptops, PDA and mobile / smartphones technologies, network concepts and IP telephony
- Solid working knowledge of general computer / server hardware and software configuration
- Excellent communication, with the ability to liaise with colleagues and clients of all levels, across multiple offices
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
