**THE COMPANY**

The Harnham Data Science team is working exclusively with one of the UK's most loved retailers, to welcome a Head of Data Science into their organisation.

As a Head of Data Science, you will be responsible for building a Data Science team, setting up strategies, and leading key areas of the business closer to the company vision.

The company offers a range of significant resources that will ensure your growth and development within the organisation. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge Data Science and Machine Learning techniques to create impacts and maximiseprofits within the business.

**THE ROLE**

As the Head of Data Science, you will be:

- Expected to take a commercial approach to complex projects.
- Encouraging innovation, to contribute to the company's data-driven goals.
- Using machine learning and advanced techniques to the company's advantage - providing valuable insights in multiple areas such as price promotions, store optimisation, supply chain etc.
- Regularly working with board-level stakeholders
- Using Machine Learning to provide significant revenue streams

**SKILLS AND EXPERTISE**

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

- A proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams in Data Science
- Experience in delivering valuable data science projects within a commercial organisation
- Experience in building, scaling, and deploying machine learning models
- PhD-level qualifications from a top university worldwide
- Strong stakeholder management skills
