**THE COMPANY**

The Harnham Data Science team has been exclusively retained by a well-known and loved UK brand to hire a data science leader into their organisation.

Your role will be to set the vision and strategy for data science across several key areas of the business over the coming years.

The team you will help build are to sit at the heart of the organisation with one clear goal: to introduce machine learning to several key areas, striving to automate and generate new revenue opportunities.

You will have significant resources to drive your initiative forward and grow the capability.

Key parts of your job will be to utilise cutting-egde data science and machine learning techniques to bring considerable value for the business.

**THE ROLE**

As the Head of Data Science you will be:

- Building a world class data science team
- Utilising machine learning and advanced techniques to deliver valuable gains across several key areas (price promotions, supply chain, procurement, warehouse/store optimisation)
- Working closely with board-level stakeholders on key business objectives
- Setting an agenda for data science and designing a road-map
- Introducing a strong culture of innovation within the organisation, contributing to the company's data-driven goals.
- Looking at new ways of adding significant revenue streams through the introduction of ML.

**SKILLS AND EXPERTISE**

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

- A proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams of data scientists and machine learning experts
- Experience in delivering successful and high-value data science initiatives within an organisation
- Experience in building, scaling and deploying machine learning models
- PhD-level qualifications from a top university worldwide
- Strong stakeholder management skills
