We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our awesome team as a Housing Concierge. We support our brilliant customers who have mental health issues.

They live in supported accommodation services which consist of a core building of 9 rooms and 20 dispersed properties which are spread across the City of Sunderland.

We help our customers to achieve their goals and aspirations, supporting them in their recovery and helping them to gain the independent living skills necessary for them to move on into their own accommodation

**About you**

As our Housing Concierge you’ll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our services. You will ensure the safety and security of our buildings and of our customers, and make sure we get on with our neighbours

You’ll get involved in lots of different activities which will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to.

As our housing support Concierge you’ll also provide out of hours cover being the first point of contact for our clients during the night and at times we’ll also need you to do some general cleaning duties too.

You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative.

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe)

To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in a supported housing environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group
- When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one._

**About our team**

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Rachel Worne who has worked for Home Group for 7 years.

There are 15 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too We have a Mental Health Practice Lead, an Occupational Therapist, 3 Lead Support Workers, 6 support workers, 2.5 concierge, a handyperson and a cleaner. We are a new service with a fantastic team who are passionate about supporting our customers and developing our service to become the best it can be.

**Working hours**

You’ll work on a rota basis between the hours of 21:00 pm and 08:15 am and take your turn working evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. In this role you’ll work during the twilight hours doing waking nights work.

We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.
