**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**JOB TITLE: Concierge & Safeguarding Officer**
**REPORTS TO**:Care Manager & Senior Care Coordinator
**JOB PURPOSE**:To provide support, concierge and safeguarding services in our supported housing for vulnerable people.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Carrying out tasks for the client as per the Care plan**:
- Work as part of a team in supporting a client group with varying support needs.
- Record all logs and day-to-day activities in the location as well as effective handovers.
- Carrying out various building, health, and safety checks.
- Be familiar and alert to safeguarding issues and concerns.
- Handle calls and enquiries about the clients.
- Receiving, welcoming and onboarding new clients.
- Liaising with emergency services in the case of emergency.
- Observing care planning needs for clients.
- Uphold client’s rights and preserve dignity
- Ensuring that the delivery of care services meets the required standard as laid out at Oceander Abodes’ induction.
**Training & Development**:
- Maintain professional knowledge and competence
- Attend mandatory training courses and other training and updates as deemed necessary
- Attend regular meetings with the line manager
**Special Conditions**:
- This post requires the holder to be available at varying times, which include early morning and late evening work and may involve an on-call rota system. The post holder is required to work weekends and bank holidays.
- To carry out other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the post and the needs of the organisation to develop and maintain service delivery.
- The post requires the holder to have a clear disclosure check by the regulatory body Access NI and/or other necessary police checks.
- Ensure all information of a confidential nature is not divulged to third parties
