**About the role**
We’re excited to be looking for an
**Assurance Officer** to join our Audit, Risk and Assurance team. This is a key role in supporting NCFE to develop and achieve high levels of organisational assurance. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a fast-paced team who are committed to quality improvement, risk reduction, and prevention.
**In this role you'll be responsible for**:
- Supporting the ongoing development, implementation, and delivery of NCFE’s assurance programme
- Contributing to the effective delivery of improvement projects, providing guidance and clear direction to ensure positive impact
- Supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of NCFE’s Assurance map
- Conducting risk-based assurance/incident reviews (complaints, incident management, data breaches etc.), using root cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and progress to a decision point.
- Contributing to the implementation and ongoing maintenance of quality management systems.
- Assisting operational teams with improvement activity during and after incidents, investigations, audits, and complaint outcomes
- Supporting with data preparation and operation reports
- Contributing to the development of customer insight and intelligence, ensuring risks and opportunities are identified timely and escalated where appropriate.
**We would love to hear from you if you hold the following key skills**:
- Knowledge or experience of working in a regulated environment, driven around process and procedures. It would be even better if this is in the Education industry
- Knowledge or experience of operational risk assurance activity
- Experience of control effectiveness testing
- Incident management experience and issue resolution
- Experience of root cause analysis which leads to improvements
- Extensive reporting and analysis experience
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to refine written policy into actionable operational plans
- Operational risk assurance activity
- Policy and procedure development
- Experience of quality management systems

**This role requires hybrid working therefore you will need to be within travel distance of Head Office to ensure you can work from the office 1-2** times a week.**
