**About the role**:
As Data Business Analyst you will be responsible for delivering artefacts defined by programs and projects for new systems or building new/improved data flows for reporting, reconciliation, and analysis in existing systems

**Day to Day Activities**:

- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001).
- Prepare data flows and process flows for current and proposed systems
- Document Source-to-Target data attribute mappings including transformation rules
- Address data quality issues. Produce data profiles and data quality reports
- Identify patterns and trends in data sets
- Define new data collection and analysis processes
- Analyse user requirements for reports, queries, and data extraction
- Establish adherence principles of data quality management, including metadata, lineage, and business definitions
- Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases
- Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
- Serve as the gatekeeper for the data so that stakeholders can understand data and use it to make business decisions
- Keep track of industry best practices and trends, and through acquired knowledge take advantage of process and system improvement opportunities

**About you**:

- Commercial experience in a similar role
- Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms
- Statistical programming languages experience - R or Python - to interpret data sets. Expert SQL skills
- Understanding of metadata, reference data, transactional data, and master data
- Has an understanding of how to process, consolidate, and expose and link data from various systems
- Experience of working with large datasets and Data Lakes
- Experience of working with the Azure technology stack
- Experience of Agile development practices and working with Azure DevOps
- Excellent problem solver with the ability to analyse data, identify issues/opportunities, design and implement pragmatic solutions
- Able to work on several projects at the same time and prioritise effectively
