I'm on the lookout for an established Solutions Architect looking to take the next step in their career and assume the mantle of Head of Solutions Architecture within a growing business in the UK and report directly into the Group CTO.

**Salary**: £100,000 - £110,000 p/a + up to 50% bonus

Location: 3 days per week in C. London

**The Role**
- Be responsible for the architecture of the technology estate and lead its architectural development into the future. The focus of this role is ensuring that we have a coherent architecture and best in class implementation.
- Work with the CTO and Head of Engineering to make the relevant technology decisions and lead the organisation through the architectural decisions with the goal of reaching a consensus.
- Work with Product Management team to deliver clear, well-articulated requirements and ensure the implications of the requirements are understood.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure that requirements are well understood and thoroughly researched and contribute to the Technical Design Authority run by the Head of Development.
- Contribute to the planning process where architectural input is required. The planning process is led by the Head of Delivery; however, architectural decisions are the responsibility of the Head of Solution Architecture.
- Work with the Head of Engineering to make the key design and technical decisions and ensure that a sufficient level of thought is put into the design process and that the designs are articulated and documented in sufficient detail.
- Contribute to the development of Agile and Lean practices.
- Collaborate with the product team to create roadmaps; guide them on the cost implications of functionality choices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with your stakeholders.
- Be an active part of the broader engineering management community, receiving and providing coaching and mentoring with your professional colleagues.

**Key Experience/Knowledge**
- Domain Driven Design, Event Driven and Microservice architectures, leveraging RDBMS and NoSQL datastores, secure by design, self-healing / resilient systems.
- You will have a background of working with Open-Source technologies and can articulate examples of successful implementations.
- You have a working knowledge of Git, JIRA and Confluence.
- It is likely that you will have moved away from day-to-day coding several years ago (Java preferred), however, you will still be able to understand and review code and you will have graduated from coding to design and architecture.
- You have experience of developing and enhancing architectures for £5M+ solutions.
- You have significant experience working with AWS.
- You are experienced in communicating with senior leadership.
