The Role

The AA Relations Advisor will act as a point of contact/advice/guidance for all areas of the business in respect to Associate related queries and concerns. The Advisor will also manage and facilitate a number of Associate related projects depending on howthose projects are distributed within the new team.

Pearson have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative individual to join the Associate Relations and Development team in our Hellaby office.

The Associate Relations and Development team act in an HR capacity for our contractor community, internally referred to as Associates. The role is extremely varied as the team has remit over all aspects of the contractor lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities:
The AA Relations Advisor will take some of the responsibilities detailed below depending on how tasks and projects are distributed in the new team.

Relations
- Be a key point of contact and advocate for the Associate workforce within Pearson
- Taking part in cross-departmental Customer Service initiatives in the development and retention of Associates.
- Supporting initiatives to increase diversity in our Associate workforce
- Supporting colleagues with succession planning and strategic recruitment for Associate roles
- Develop, support, plan and manage Associate engagement events or campaigns such as focus groups, roadshows, Senior Associate meetings and Associate conferences
- Supporting on the future working of technology projects to support our Associate community
- Review and communicate outcomes from the Associate performance management process
- Facilitate the appeals process
- Provide Assessment Managers with support, advice and facilitation on handling and investigating AA performance management concerns
- Managing and investigating conflict of interest concerns
- Support and facilitate the management and investigation of escalated Associate complaints
- Maintain tracking documentation and other records of activities as required for statistical purposes
- To undertake additional responsibilities as and when required and to assist with peak activity within the wider team including the management of small projects

Communication and Engagement
- Managing the production and distribution of mass communications to the Associate community through a number of different routes including the Associate newsletter and bespoke communications. This will involve advising on all aspects of communications includingwording, timing and content
- Maintaining and updating internal messaging e.g. The Associate Neo page.
- Responding to general queries from the Associates
- Maintaining register of AA queries and databank of electronic FAQs to support 1st line support Helpdesk colleagues

Learning and Development
- Working closely with relevant stakeholders to manage the design and delivery of Associate development events
- Managing and being the main point of contact for the learning platform Associate U. This will involve:

- liaison with the third-party developer of the platform
- managing and commissioning of new learning content
- advising and supporting internal teams on the development of existing and new learning content
- Managing a number of Associate related projects including the Senior Associate Development Programme, CPD offer, the External Quality Assurance accreditation programme in association with partner institutions, and any other programme, as appropriate whichfalls under the team’s remit

- CIPD L3 or equivalent qualification (Desirable)

Standard 37.5 hours a week, office hours, Monday - Friday but will be required to be flexible during busy periods including the p
