Payroll/Accounts Assistant position which can be full time or part time, dependent upon the responsibilities taken on.

Primarily, you will take ownership for processing the Payroll, start to finish, for approximately 100 employees, from calculating hours, overtime and unpaid leave to processing statutory payments, pensions and full reporting to government bodies.

You will have full responsibility for the accounting processes for one or more of the Company’s subsidiaries. You will be required to deliver accurate monthly management accounts to include P&L, balance sheet and cashflow, and maintain consistency of information and presentation. You will also need to ensure completeness of all month end journals and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, process all Purchase Ledger invoices and all bank transactions, along with submission of quarterly VAT returns and monthly EC Sales and Intrastat figures.

You will also be responsible for maintaining holiday and sickness records, reconciling and processing staff expenses and company credit card expenses, and ensuring that all entries are accurately recorded and in compliance with VAT regulations.

You will be involved in other tasks within the Accounts Department, assisting the Accounts Manager with monthly sales reports and other ad hoc tasks.

Scope to learn and progress, this role would suit a highly organised individual with a passion for all things financial.

**Experience**:
Payroll processing experience is a must in this role (IRIS Payroll distinct advantage). Part qualified and/or proven experience in similar role. Sage 200 (or Sage products) is preferred but not essential. Intermediate to advanced excel skills essential.

You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate at all levels within the organisation. With an ability to manage your time successfully to meet deadlines, you will possess a can-do attitude and be happy to help other departments across the business to ensure goals are met.

**Salary**: £33,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
