Warehouse Supervisor

**The Role**:
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will be responsible for the entire warehousing and distribution functions. It would be key to have previous experience in a similar role, be comfortable in leading and managing a team of people on a day-to-day basis and be prepared to be hands-on on the job as required.

The key tasks that you would be responsible for would be: managing staff workload and efficiencies, monitoring and implementing processes to increase efficiency and limit errors, implementing and maintaining good health and safety standards and training requirements to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of goods in, order picking and despatch functions, and warehouse administration.

**Responsibilities**
- Overall management of the warehouse activities on a day-to-day basis.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance.
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
- Ensure any purchased stock arriving during the shift is receipted, counted and quality is checked, any queries are to be referred to the management team.
- Meet Health and Safety, & Food Safety Standards.
- Undertake any training as deemed necessary. E.G Health & Safety, Food Safety, Obtaining Forklift Licence and ensure all warehouse employees are trained appropriately.
- Liaise with Office buying and distribution to ensure correct inventory levels are maintained.
- Excellent computer skills - A significant amount of time in this role will be spent on our order fulfilment system. Training will be provided.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience working in a management/leadership role.
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet targets
- Have a strong positive, anything can be done mind set.
- Knowledge of stock level targets, reporting, warehouse organisation & KPI monitoring
- Teamworking and people management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate work and explain ideas.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Leadership: 3 years (preferred)
