B4 Occupational Therapist Assistant - Stroke Inpatient Rehab

An exciting new B4 Occupational Therapy Assistant opportunity has arisen on our inpatient stroke unit at Meadow Court.

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant with a passion for stroke rehabilitation to work within NELFT’s Inpatient Stroke Unit based at Meadow Court, Goodmayes. We provide inpatient stroke rehabilitation to people living in the local community with the aim of supporting them to return to their own homes as independent as possible.

You will be working as part of our specialist stroke multi-disciplinary therapy team consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists and Speech and Language therapists that input into our 12 bedded stroke unit. As part of this team you will also work alongside doctors, nurses and HCA’s to give specialist stroke intervention.

You will be involved in data collection and projects, working closely with therapists to maintain the high standard s of care on the stroke unit and keep in line with stroke standards.

The team and Trust are fully committed to support development, providing appropriate training, supervision and appraisals.

Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177).
