The Head of Insight - Brand & CX (interim, 12 month contract) is an experienced senior insights expert, energised by solving business problems through deep understanding of customer needs and market intelligence. _
- This role inspires and leads a team to deliver marketing insight that enables competitive advantage for the English product group. They collaborate and partner across business functions to ensure that the voice of the customer is heard and insight underpins decision making in the development and delivery of the Brand and CX vision._

**The Role**
A senior role reporting to the Director of Marketing Insights and Strategy, you work closely with the Insight and Strategy leadership team to address our core ‘strategic' insight questions, supporting and resourcing the delivery of insights to the business.
As well as managing and supporting a team of insight specialists, you also lead key projects to enable our Brand and CX and sector strategies. You directly influence strategy by representing the voice of the customer and bringing customers to the centre of business decision-making across the organisation, including choices for new product development, evolving existing propositions, marketing positioning, development and communications, customer service and experience strategies.
A champion of insights excellence across the business, you continually evolve our insights capability to reflect the latest methodologies and techniques.

**About you**
At the core of your experiences to date, you will have a strong track record of delivering commercial value through valuable insights. You have extensive and significant experience of insight design and delivery in an international context.
You are an intellectually curious individual who is passionate about uncovering consumer needs and desires, able to discover the story in all the noise and identify what really matters.
A natural leader, with strong communication skills you support and enable your team to develop the influence and credibility to deliver valuable intelligence to the business and ensure that stakeholders have a holistic understanding of customer insights.
**Essential skills, knowledge and qualifications**:
- Excellent understanding of Insight (including quantitative and qualitative methodologies).
- Excellent communication skills, including presentation skills and, ideally, storytelling skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking to support the development of the global marketing strategy
- Analytical skills and mindset to assimilate information from a variety of sources and output clear and succinct recommendations.
- Team player, collaborative with strong skills in building effective stakeholder relations.
- Commercial skills to ensure that recommendations are presented with an understanding of business strategy and projects adhere to budgets
- Business Acumen. Customer focused. Ensures that the customer (internal and external) is at the centre of the team's activities, able to understand organisational business models and help others to do the same
- Line managerial experience, including recruitment, induction, performance management, learning and development, talent management, career planning, succession and exit.
