Role Description
The main purpose of the Operations Accountant is to inform, challenge and support the business in achieving its purpose through the provision and interpretation of key management information. You will take a lead role in ensuring the finance team developmentand delivery strategy is met by implementing, challenging and supporting team initiatives. Deputise in absence of Finance Lead, representing the business at review meetings and budget presentations. Main responsibilities to include:

- Financial reporting of and insight into cost of sales and overheads to ensure best practice and improvements are made based on accurate and insightful information
- Build highly effective relationships with stakeholders. Support and influence management team to deliver conversion cost improvements
- Help drive and embed a continuous improvement culture across the business, improving systems, processes and reporting where necessary in line with Lean principles.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly accounts, annual budget/projection, monthly forecasts and year-end accounts.
- Deliver accurate cost of sales performance reporting and analysis with variances to budget/forecast
- Responsible for completion and submission of reports, analysis and data
- Deliver accurate new product costings, complete post launch evaluations and review existing costsings to maintain accuracy
- Take a full and active role in site projects to drive continuous improvements to meet business objectives
Skills and Experience
- Three years post Qualified accountancy experience
- Strong analytical and numerical skills to support business decision making
- Advanced Excel user
