OverviewPrincipal Consultant - Operational Analysis role at OTM Networks. We are looking for a candidate with a background in Operational Analysis, Operational Research or supporting Government Approvals to join a growing team.OTM Networks, in collaboration with Sagentia Defence, works with customers in highly regulated Government programmes. The Operational Analysis team uses modelling, analysis, domain knowledge and approvals expertise to provide evidence to support better decisions in the defence and space sectors.ResponsibilitiesUndertake research to analyse the benefits of new equipment, approaches or technologies.Provide the evidence to support Government procurement decisions.Work with customers and stakeholders to improve policy, strategy and planning.What you will focus onOperational AnalysisApprovals AssuranceDecision SupportModelling and SimulationTraining and Development: coaching people on Operational Analysis tools and techniques; career development through conferences and tailored training as required.Business Development: supporting Account Leads by writing technical approaches within bids and presenting to prospective customers; identifying needs for new capability across customers.Technical Assurance: providing technical guidance and reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet customer expectations.Team & CapabilityVision and Strategy: assist in setting the department vision and strategy, align with the wider company goals, and communicate across the organisation.Team leadership: motivate, coach and manage performance; lead team meetings to share knowledge and coordinate activities.Capability Development: develop and maintain Operational Analysis service offerings aligned to demand and ensure coherence across the business.Requirements (What you will have/need)Experience delivering Operational Analysis, Approvals Assurance, Decision Support and/or Modelling and Simulation in a consultancy context.Experience writing analysis documentation (e.g., OASP, COA) or business cases.Capability development of new tools and techniques.Technical guidance and reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.Experience leading teams in a consultancy setting.Knowledge of working within the public sector and government processes; ability to manage stakeholders.Mentoring across all grades; contribution to bids/technical proposals.Candidate requirementsRight to live and work in the UK.Either hold current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo Security Clearance (SC) upon starting; normally requires at least 5 years of UK residency to gain clearance.Degree level qualification or relevant experience.Defence or military experience.Engineering Chartership or equivalent relevant to the role.BenefitsYou will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package.Location & Employment TypeLocation: Bristol.
