Tailor made are excited to be recruiting for a well-established and popular Training provider in the Blackburn area. They are seeking a Funding and Compliance Office to deliver the annual schedule of funding body compliance activity, through rigorous and continuous review and audit of mandatory documentation and processes.
**The role**:
s To plan, prepare and implement a rolling audit programme
s To analyse audit findings, identify root causes and work across the business to implement corrective or preventative solutions driving through process change to enhance compliance and reduce risk
s To develop the capability within teams and individuals across the business to undertake self-checks and compliance audits and develop processes that feed findings into improvement plans
s To analyse data quality reports to identify and prioritise the auditing of high-risk areas to prevent the escalation of errors and prevent funding claw back from Funding Agencies
s To develop and agree corrective action plans with Managers and staff on the funding body requirements, including communications, dissemination and training
s To challenge and guide Managers and staff on non-compliance issues whilst providing support on corrective action
s To provide regular compliance reports to Managers and the SMT, which identify the current position and action taken on compliance in relation to the DfE Contracts, as part of the risk management process
s To ensure that documentation, which supports the contractual evidence base is compliant and current, in order that the Company meets its contractual obligations
s To support external funding body audits, ensuring proactive preparation and the gathering of all required and relevant evidence
**About you**:
s Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Education and Skills Funding Agency requirements
s Knowledge of the Company’s policies and procedures which support contract delivery
s Possession of professional qualification in accordance with occupational position held, e.g. ISO9001 Auditor (desirable)
s Demonstrates highly effective and consistent communication and active listening skills across all levels in the Company
s Demonstrates highly effective operational organisational and planning skills
s Demonstrates strong capabilities in the positive engagement of internal stakeholders
s Demonstrates strong financial awareness in understanding the link and impact with compliance activities
s Demonstrates strong auditing, assessment and interpretation skills in areas of contractual compliance
s Demonstrates strong ICT skills in the preparation and analysis of complex data and reports (fully conversant with all Microsoft packages)
s Minimum of two years’ experience of working with the Funding Agencies at an operational level (desirable)
