**Lagan's Foundation is a charitable organisation in which volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families with babies and children under the age of 5 diagnosed with congenital heart defects and/or feeding difficulties in their own homes.**
As a Volunteer in Lagan’s Foundation, the primary responsibility for you would include carrying out ad hoc tasks which could vary from helping organise an event, engaging with different stakeholders, providing support to fellow volunteers. This role will is an opportunity to gain experience in logistic planning in organising event, how to fundraise, gain marketing skills and support a charity which provides care to children with complex health conditions.
Moreover it creates possibilities of meeting people from different backgrounds, creating connections and friendships
The Post Holder will be responsible for carrying out their duties as described below in full accordance with Lagan’s Foundations policies and procedures. The Post Holder will be directly accountable to the Community Engagement Officer/ Team Leader will be expected to carry out their role as a representative for Lagan’s Foundation, in a sensitive and professional manner at all times.
**Job Duties**
The role includes the following:
To understand the Mission Statement for Lagan's Foundation
To understand and adhere to Lagan's Foundation policies
To attend the mandatory training requirement arranged by Lagan's Foundation before volunteering in an event
To volunteer in events for a minimum of 2 hours
- Provide refreshments to visitors/participants in coffee mornings
- Helping visitors/participants with activities
- Helping visitors/participants find their seats/way around
- Being friendly to visitors
- Assist in setting up relevant venue for relevant event
- Engage with fellow volunteers and staff
- Admin support
**Required commitment**
- To complete the on-line courses supplied by your line manager or HR.
- To attend a Lagan's Foundation arranged training induction
- To be available on a monthly basis for a minimum of 2 hours for 1 year.
- To attend any additional training required.

- Have an ability to keep basic records as requested by Lagan's Foundation.
