**The Role**

Collections Data Analyst is responsible for designing and completing tailored analytical work, using SAS and Excel primarily, working within the Collections Insights team and in collaboration with the operational Collections team.

To assist the Debt Sale Manager & Collections Insight Manager for Scoring, Collections and Risk Implementation in optimising profitability for the BNP Paribas Personal Finance portfolio by providing information, analysis and technical support for the developmentand implementation of strategies, which improve portfolio performance, with focus on Collections, Debt Sales and Monitoring.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the development of models and MI to create a link between operational Collections and Cost of Risk
- Identify areas of opportunity for debt sales
- Assist with the evaluation of portfolios for potential debt sales
- Help develop and monitor recoveries and debt sale strategies
- Provide portfolio management reports which evaluate the profile of the BNP Paribas PF Customer base
- Provide MI which is used to update senior management on the status of the BNP Paribas PF portfolio
- As requested, liaise with other departments or external organisations e.g. Credit Bureau, Debt Purchasers etc. on any current or future initiatives
- Liaise with Operational teams as requested to ensure that policies and procedures are being complied with in an efficient manner
- Keep abreast of new developments and regulatory issues
- Ensure monthly and weekly automated Debt Sale processes run smoothly
- Understand the Debt Sale process thoroughly to enable changes as and when required
- Continuously monitor and improve the Debt Sale process
- Responsible for ad hoc and special Debt Sale process
- Build and maintain reports for Debt Sale
- Responsible for ad hoc analytical requests in the Collection process (including Recoveries and Debt Sale)

**Skills & Attributes**:

- Data Analysis experience
- Programming experience within one (or more) of the following SAS / SQL / Python / R
- High attention to detail
- Methodical
- Strong team player
