Procurement Contracts Advisor

On behalf of our Client, we are looking for a **Procurement Contracts Advisor** for a **12 month contract** based in offices in either **Solihull or Newcastle Upon Tyne**. (This will be a **hybrid **role with the expectation of working 2 days in office and 3 from home each week)

Founded to be both humane and excellent, Our client collaborates with their clients and partners using imagination, technology and rigour to shape a better world. **We are currently looking for a Procurement Contracts Advisor to join their procurement supply chain compliance team**, the focus of this role will be ensuring that our supplier and sub-contractor contracts are executed correctly, accurately and recorded as per our procedures. The focus of this role is UK based contracts
**The role responsibilities include**:
- Assisting, on a case by case basis, with selecting and drafting agreements, utilising a range of templated contract types
- Advising on appropriate approval and signatory routes as per contract type and scope
- Working with a range of business stakeholders to ensure that their contracts are executed correctly, in a timely fashion, correctly signed and recorded on our systems
- Maintaining accurate records of all contract activity
- Ensuring that all relevant due diligence is present, and appropriate records of such are recorded alongside the contract, flagging any concerns as appropriate
- Regular checks on contracts to ensure original scope and timings remain accurate and any changes are identified and flagged
- Working with the legal, procurement, tax and HR teams to ensure a joined-up approach to compliance is maintained at all times
- Assisting the wider procurement team with any matters relevant to contracts and your experience/skills
**Essential Skills and Qualifications**:
- Knowledge of contracts and key terms essential, comfortable with legal language and an ability to deal with minor queries relating to the terms within our contracts
- GDPR compliance knowledge. IR35 knowledge would be advantageous
- Experience of administering supplier/commercial contracts of sale/procurement is essential in a corporate environment
- Excellent communication skills across a range of stakeholders
- Knowledge of appropriate processes and systems to ensure our contracts management systems are maintained to full accuracy and relevant information is available on-demand to the business
- A range of qualifications will be considered appropriate to the role.
- Experience of working on large service projects within the consultancy/built environment/infrastructure/construction industries will be advantageous
Please note that due to recent changes in Off Payroll (IR35) legislation, our client only operates with contractors that operate via a PAYE or Umbrella model.
