Strategic Sourcing Manager

Hybrid role: 2-3 days working onsite per week
Our client is one of the world's leading providers of Integrated Supply Solutions to manufacturing industries for the provision of MRO (indirect) products. Their portfolio consists of Procurement Services, Transactional Processing, Stores Management and InventoryOptimisation enabled by industry leading digital platforms. They deliver world class results to world class companies in industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Foods, Beverage, Automotive and Aerospace.
The business have more than quadrupled in size over the last six years growing their client spend from £80m to £600m.
In alignment with the Global company strategy and ambition, and in conjunction with the Global Procurement organization, the Global Procurement, Sourcing Manager will be responsible to identify, develop and implement sourcing programs with the objective todeliver savings to clients as per contractual commitments.
The Sourcing Manager has the responsibility of being familiar with the client's contract details, objectives, key performance metrics, opportunity identification and program implementation. Programs include sourcing strategies for both existing and new clients.
The Sourcing Manager will be accountable to develop and implement a sustainable pipeline of saving initiatives and saving methodologies as per client requirements.
The role will be working very closely with Operations and the Global Procurement Category Management Teams to deliver the contractual saving commitments.
Prioritization of programs will be driven from analysis of purchasing data, input from Operation and business and client requirements.
The position requires the ability to collaborate with multiple people across different geographies and time zones & projects at one time.
The role will work closely with all Global Procurement, Operations, Finance, Sales, in the development of strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization to drive overall success.
**Experienced required**:

- Master degree (4-5 years) in Economics / Business / Science or other equivalent. MBA is preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years in strategic sourcing/category management. Three (3) years in sourcing MRO related materials or relevant categories is recommended.
- Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Strong skills in Excel / PowerPoint; ability to learn and work with MS Project.
- A technical background with familiarity of Maintenance, Repair and Operating Materials is recommended. A working knowledge of M.R.P., JIT, and related systems is desirable.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimum day to day supervision.
- Knowledge of quality assurance philosophies, practices, and techniques.

- Fluent in English written and spoken; another European language is desirable based on local business needs.
