To be an effective member of a multidisciplinary School Nurse Team in Rhyl that promote the health and wellbeing of children in a designated caseload. To provide and organise a comprehensive high level, efficient, accurate and prompt administrative service to the School Nursing and assist in the smooth running of the service.To work flexibly to meet service demands e.g. alter working hours during difficult periods where necessary in discussion with the School Nursing Team and Team Manager.

The post holder deals with highly sensitive and confidential issues relating to issues affecting the clients and their families.

As a member of the Administration Team, a flexible approach to the post is essential to enable prioritising the different workloads and duties.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to carry out duties with tact, diplomacy and sensitivity. Make sound decisions and judgements using initiative and level of authority as agreed with Line Manager.

Knowledge and understanding of the structure, policies, management and operational procedures within the Administration Office and for the Health Board as required, in dealing with internal and external enquiries in a competent and confident manner.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
- Undertake clerical and word processing duties as directed by the team.
- Assist with the sending out of information within the time scale specified.
- Correct and accurate use of patient information using the patient administration systems including the Child Health System.
- To maintain case notes in good condition.
- Assist with the booking / rearranging of meetings as directed by the team.
- Deal with enquiries either on the telephone or face to face from health professionals, colleagues and the public, under the guidance of the School Nursing.
- File reports / letters or relevant information following relevant protocols.
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail and distribute accordingly.
- Undertake such miscellaneous clerical duties as necessary
- To undergo any training relevant to the job role.
- To assist in the collection of information in connection with School Nursing by ensuring up to date and accurate patient information is available.
- To be aware of Health and Safety issues and not act in a way that would compromise others.
- Clear and accurate communication will be maintained with colleagues.
